RUBY VAN METER
REIMAGINING SPACE, RECLAIMING JOY
Ruby Van Meter School serves students with significant intellectual disabilities, along with a wide range of additional needs including physical, emotional, behavioral, and complex health and communication challenges. The school provides individualized instruction in academics, life skills, work experience, art, music, and physical education.
This project is a reflection of the Foundation’s commitment to inclusivity in education and to supporting Des Moines youth, schools, and staff with resources and opportunities that fall outside of the traditional school budget—creating meaningful access and impact where it’s needed most while providing meaningful opportunities for local artists to thrive.
