OUR TEAM

ABOUT US

We're on a mission to develop and expand young minds by building character through mentorship, access to resources, and education. Our key mentorship programs, grants, and events bridge gaps and remove barriers for teachers and students by enhancing accessibility. By building stronger foundations and brighter futures for our youth, together, we can uplift them so that every student has access to potential.

Born from a response to the vast potential seen in students and pervasive inequities in opportunity, and informed by lived experiences including witnessing first-hand the difference that community connection can make, the Foundation was created in 2020 to magnify the influence of an individual to an entire community. The B.WELL Foundation was co-founded by local hip-hop artist, humanitarian, and visionary, Billy “B.WELL” Weathers and Katelyn Stessman, a children’s advocate and elementary music education teacher working within the Des Moines Public School System.
